Run Education Like a Business in DeKalb...

The uproar in DeKalb County about closing schools...run the education dept. like a business...cut out the non-producing, non-performing parts and use the limited resources on the components that produce....there may be all white schools just as you have all black schools..it's demographics...and where is all this protest on redistricting when they built a NEW school and your kids got to go to the new one? ..just thinkin'

REWARD the GOOD STUDENTS - REGARDLESS OF INCOME!!!

HOPE - Should in NO way be tied to financial need nor should it be for Day Care- It is a REWARD to GOOD students for COLLEGE...not need based..We have student loans, special scholarships and programs for need based assistance...Give HOPE to good students and consider their "Strength of Schedule" while in high school!..just thinkin'

Double Taxation....

Georgia lawmakers are considering whether to charge sales tax on the sale of cars, boats and airplanes between private individuals...Now correct me if I'm wrong, but I paid sales tax on that car when I bought it new...so those dollars are already taxed...and I'm selling it at a lower amount so I'm not making income...DOUBLE TAXATION..I through we wen through thin in the 90's......just thinkin'

HOPE Scholarship for Education or Day Care???

The HOPE - ..so a (D) Rep from Decatur says cutting Pre-K HOPE money would force people to pay for "DAY CARE" that they couldn't afford it...Is the HOPE about providing DAYCARE or offering education??...it should solely be for education for AMBITIOUS students, not DAY CARE or remedial classes....maybe theses families shouldn't of had kids if they couldn't A) have a stay at home mom or B) Afford Day care???...just thinkin'
